Birch Implementation Process
Birch Worldwide relies on a proven phased approach to deploying its Portfolio Solutions and Professional Management Services.
Phase 1: Consultative Investigation
The first phase of the project is centered on gaining project clarification and clearly understanding the client’s needs. Research and assessment of the current program is conducted to define a measurable set of expectations and outcomes.
Phase 2: Program Design Brief
The information obtained during the Consultative Investigation Phase is used to create a Program Design Brief. All costs, project schedules, product-based plans and deliverables are clearly documented for the entire project.
Phase 3: Application Development
Development of the solution begins with the design of the web interface reflecting the client’s brand, look and feel. The project team begins configuration and thorough testing of the fundamental application infrastructure along with the programming of related forms, web entry screens, reports, and analysis tools.
Phase 4: Quality Assurance Testing
The solution is now ready for testing in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environment. Criteria considered during the quality assurance testing phase include the client’s requirements for acceptance and completion. Criteria to be considered will include functional testing of technical solution, load testing, security testing, and user testing.
Phase 5: Training and Launch
Training and program launch activities are conducted. This generally includes internal and external training, partner communications, and transition handling. The training materials are completed and made available on the program website.
Phase 6: Program Management
Birch helpdesk team carries out the administration of the program. Helpdesk services are designed to support regional time zones and languages in Europe, Asia Pacific, and North America.
